Outreach

Hands of Mercy

Parishioners bring items for our local food bank on the third Sunday of every month.  We contact the pantry every month to see what their immediate needs are and then post it in the bulletin and on the screens during worship services.  For more information, contact Joy Fisher.

Kairos

Kairos is a Christian international prison ministry in which volunteers bring Christ's love and forgiveness to incarcerated individuals during a four-day weekend event.  The goal is to "change hearts, transform lives, and impact the world."  Bradbury supports the Bledsoe County Correctional Comples outside of Pikeville, TN (normally twice a year) by providing home-baked cookies, meal vouchers, placemats, and prayers.  Learn more at the Kairos website, and contact Dale Hensley to get involved.

Operation REACH

REACH (Roane Enriches Another Childs Holiday) works with several other organizations to provide gifts for needy families at Christmas.  Contact John Leitnaker to find out how you can help.

Roane County Cooperative Ministries

RCCM is a collaboration of churches whose purpose is to address the needs of our neighbors by providing support and services to help them change their lives. Bradbury provides both financial support and volunteers.  Learn more on the RCCM Facebook page and contact John Leitnaker to participate.

Roane County Habitat for Humanity

Bradbury parishioners are active with Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit Christian housing ministry that believes every person should have a decent, safe, and affordable place to live.  This organization teaches people how to own a home, and provides no-interest loans to qualified applicants who invest 500 hours in training and "sweat equity" in building homes for others.  We help the Roane County chapter by providing volunteers and financial support.  Contact Todd Fisher to volunteer.

Ruritan

Ruritan is a national organization dedicated to make America's rural communities better places in which to live and work through fellowship, goodwill, and community service.  Ruritan clubs respond to the needs of the community they serve.  Bradbury participates heavily in the local chapter, which provides free cutting, splitting, and delivery of firewood to low-income residents that use wood-burning stoves for heat during the winter.  Contact Roy Wallen for more information.

 United Methodist Women (UMW)

UMW supports several outreach projects.  Contact Dot Hanna for more information.
